A better us.
The YMCA is excited to bring back gymnastics classes this fall. During our two, 5 week sessions, we will be working on floor work, beam, tumbling and spring board. All classes are age appropriate and our tremendous staff will work hard to make sure that your child has a fun and exciting time! Click here for more info.
Come and join us this fall for our fun new dance classes at The Y! We will learn great dances, make new friends, and show off our moves at our Winter Recital! Our revamped dance program features Ballet, Tap and Jazz classes taught by long time Y instructor Jennifer Higelin. Classes will be fun and exciting for your child whether experienced in dance or not. Click here for more info.
For more than 160 years, the YMCA has nurtured potential and united communities across America to create lasting, meaningful change. Everything the Y does is in service of building a better us. One of the most effective ways to accomplish this is to partner with programs for youth and teens to swim, so they can stay safe around water and learn the skills they need to make swimming a lifelong pursuit for staying healthy. The Siskiyou Family YMCA is proud to partner with Yreka SPLASH, Siskiyou County STAGE, The City of Montague, and The City of Yreka to provide a positive and healthy swim program for kids this summer! The Siskiyou YMCA is trained to facilitate Darkness to Light training sessions. Our goal is to train 5% of our population to recognize and prevent child sexual abuse. We encourage you to request a special session for your group or organization. 900+ Adults have been trained in Siskiyou County.
Thank you to all who gave to the Siskiyou Family YMCA on Giving Tuesday. We received over $36,000 from over 31 individual donors. Your donation will benefit aerobics room improvements for sound quality, upgraded security camera system inside and outside, and it will help support our financial assistance program. Thank you for making the Siskiyou YMCA your favorite charity.
